Officials confirm 10 more cases of swine flu on LI [Newsday]

Local health officials confirmed 10 more cases – five in each county – of swine flu Thursday.
That brings to 21 the total number of confirmed cases of the new flu on Long Island. All are mild or those with it have recovered, officials said.
“This is becoming almost routine in terms of the symptomatology, presentation and ultimate course,” said Dr. Humayun Chaudhry, Suffolk’s health commissioner.

Isn’t this whole Swine Flu thing getting a bit ridiculous? Has anyone in the US even been mildly sick after contracting the SF? It seems to me that more people die from the “regular” flu every year but we don’t make that front page news and cause a panic every year. Enough is enough.
Obvously you have no idea what you are talking about. The flu that we prevent each year from becoming an epidemic is nothing like this. We have no way to prevent the swine flu from becoming an epidemic, we only have education and releying on the citizens to wash their hands and avoid contact with others if they feel they are sick. Do you honestly think you can depend on Joe Blow to wash his hands and not sneeze on you if he is sick?
